Mark Marriott wrote on Big Big Train's wall: A fellow passenger from the USA thought he may be travelling farthest to get to the London shows. Let's see.... http://www.distance.to/London/Sydney I will cover 10,559 miles from Sydney to London, or 16,993 kilometres as we say in the metric world. Add the 140 mile / 226 km trip to Sydney Airport and I'm doing 10,699 m / 17,219 km. How far will you travel to see this band? I think the Kiwis will have the edge.... (7 likes, 25 comments)

Listening to the first track streaming from the 10T Records site as I type and I have to say it seems pretty bloody good! What do you guys think? Ian McIntyre wrote on Big Big Train's wall: Huge Disappointments. I remember in the prog starved nineties seeing an album that looked so prog from the cover - had a proggy title and in a moment of excitement I bought it. Took it home. It started with some beautiful music. Fantastic I thought something new and brilliant. Then the vocals kicked in. It was horrible. I hadto stop there and to this day have never progressed beyond that point as the voice was soooooo horrible. I give you Smashing Pumpkins and Meloncholy ,,,,,,,,.Only bright sp... Malcolm Newington posted a video on Big Big Train's wall: I seem to have memories of being sent to bed as soon as this finished, but as I was only 8, I doubt I was allowed up that late in 1968. Does anybody remember if it was on particularly early in the evening? (Maybe I caught re-runs a couple of years later). (3 comments)

He's well regarded and I remember reading an article about him in Prog magazine a few months ago. However it has to be said his sound isn't that different to Matt Monroe and other crooners so why is SW so acceptable? (1 like, 10 comments)
