Michael Heller wrote on Big Big Train's wall: OK, as I'm watching Stone & Steel, a question for either Rachel Hall or Rob Aubrey, again from my sound engineering days: I see that Rachel's violin has what appears to be two separate pickups being used: a microphone over the body/f-holes, along with a contact(?) mic of some sort that appears to be attached to the tailboard. Are these two sources used separately or in conjunction with one another for different sounds, or - ? (2 likes, 1 comment)

Barrie Deatcher wrote on Big Big Train's wall: Just returned from seeing Gabriel and Sting on the last show of their tour....I realized that I have now seen all the members of the classic line up of Genesis in concert. It just took me 23 years, 3 concerts and 2000-ish kms to do so. Oh, and my sister is convinced that Peter Gabriel is my long-lost brother. Apparently bald guys with beards look alike to her. :-) (5 likes, 1 comment)
